It takes approximately 2 or more years to become a qualified barber in the UK.
To be a barber in the UK, you typically need to have 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent. This includes having English and maths as part of your GCSEs.
To become a qualified barber in the UK, you need to achieve a minimum of a level 2 National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Barbering, accredited by VTCT. Once you have completed this qualification, you can consider pursuing higher levels of NVQ, such as level 3 and beyond.
