Digital imaging technology is the process of converting printed text, artwork, and photographs into digital images using a digital scanner or another imaging device. Each image is made up of a specific number of pixels or dots that are displayed on a screen and mapped on a grid, then saved on a computer.
A data wrangler is responsible for backing up raw files from cameras and sound recordists onto memory drives, while a DIT may also set up cameras and advise on live pictures in addition to backing up files.
