A HHW technician is responsible for inspecting, receiving, segregating, packaging, storing, donating, and shipping hazardous household waste to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
To become a waste management officer in the UK, it is often preferred to have a relevant degree in waste management, engineering, environmental or science. Other relevant qualifications such as a Higher National Diploma (HND) and a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in waste management may also be accepted by many employers.
