An imaging support worker is a healthcare professional who works closely with diagnostic and therapeutic radiographers to assist in the use of imaging technology to diagnose and treat medical conditions. They may help with patient preparation, equipment maintenance, and administrative tasks.
There are no set qualifications required to be a radiographer assistant in the UK, but some employers may ask for GCSEs in subjects like maths, English, and science. Having a qualification in healthcare or health and social care may also be preferred by some employers.
