Being a crane operator can be a risky job due to the potential for slips and falls while climbing, as well as the exposure to wind and physical forces that can cause cranes to topple if not properly erected.
To be a crane operator in the UK, you will need a five-year-valid CPCS card. Additional qualifications such as the NVQ Level 2 in Exact Plant Operations and the NVQ Level 3 in Lifting Operations may also be necessary depending on the type of crane you will be operating.
