To become a radio presenter in the UK, you can start by studying media production at college and continuing onto a relevant degree. It's also important to gain experience in local radio and entertainment, decide on the area of radio you'd like to work in, and think about where you're willing to work. Increasing your experience in media production environments can also be helpful.
You need 4 or 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English and maths to be a radio presenter in the UK.
To be a radio presenter in the UK, you need excellent communication and presentation skills, performance skills, a clear voice, the ability to generate original ideas, a personable and confident manner, a broad range of interests including current affairs, good research and interviewing skills, and the confidence and ability to sell yourself.
