As a spa therapist in the UK, your main role is to provide various spa treatments and techniques to clients. This can include massages, body scrubs, body wraps, and therapeutic baths. You may work in different spa settings such as day spas, resort spas, or medi-spas.
To be a spa therapist in the UK, you typically need a BTEC National Diploma in beauty therapy sciences, an NVQ Level 3 in spa therapy, or a similar health or beauty qualification. Usually, entry to these courses requires three or four GCSE's (A*-C) or an NVQ Level 2 in beauty therapy.
